Conway Man is Arrested after Leaving 13 Month Old Home Alone

Conway Police say a man left his 13 month old son alone at home in Conway to go drinking at a bar in Little Rock Friday night.  Now 47 year old Joseph Garland Torian is behind bars facing a felony charge of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Conway Police Gear Up for Holiday Shopping Season

Conway, AR - Officers with the Conway Police Department will be out in full force this Holiday Season so that you can Shop Secure.  To get the shopping season kicked off to a good start, CPD is asking people, first and foremost, to be patient and considerate as lots of people are expected to be out on the streets and in the shopping centers.

Man Already Behind Bars Named Suspect in Armed Robbery

Twenty two year old Gabriel Jaquez of Conway, already in jail in Pulaski County accused of two shootings and leading police there on a pursuit, now faces charges in Conway for the armed robbery of a woman and her six year old son.  This happened  October 15, 2012 at a home on Creekwood.  The woman reported to police that a man entered her garage with a shotgun, demanded her car keys and money.  The woman told her son to run and the child child hid inside of the house.  According to the victim the man left with her SUV, which was found later that day in Pulaski County. 

Jaquez was developed as a suspect here in Conway after the incident in Pulaski County.  Detective Sara Ault with Conway Police interviewed Jaquez, remorseful for scaring the child, he admitted to committing the crime.  Jaquez faces two counts of aggravated robbery (Y-Felony with a firearms enhancement), theft of property by force with a firearm (C-Felony) and possession of firearms by certain persons for a previous felony conviction (B-Felony).

Jaquez remains in the Pulaski County jail. Detective Ault requested a hold be placed on him for the Conway Police Department.

Witnesses Help Conway Police Make an Arrest in the Robbery of Wireless Store
Conway, AR – Detectives with the Conway Police Department arrested Cortez Gould of Conway Wednesday evening.  Gould is believed to be the man who robbed a Cricket Wireless at Oak and Harkrider last Friday.

Man Accused in the Beating Deaths of Two Dogs is Arrested

Just before noon Tuesday Conway Warrant Officer Chris Derrick executed an arrest warrant on Micheal Woole of Conway. Woole faces two felony counts of cruelty to animals. This after a man says he was jogging pass a house and witnessed Woole brutally beating two dogs with a baseball bat. The man reported to police that Woole told him that he was putting the dogs down. According to the witness Woole left the scene before officers arrived.
